Your stash is the total collection of all the movies, pictures, and songs you have added to your account. You can stash movie files, picture files, and song files. Specifically:

Only you and the people you share with can view your movies and picture albums. We do not provide access to your content to anybody except thru the process of sharing.

What is sharing?

"Sharing" is the process you go through to allow people to view your movies and picture albums. When you share content with somebody we upload your files to our servers and then send an email to that person. That person can then follow a link from the email that will play the movie or album you shared with them. It is important to note that nobody will see your movies, picture albums, or the messages for those items until you share it with them.

How do I add new video to my movie?

To add new video to your movie you must click either the "add video from - videocam" button or the "add video from - files" button on the main icon bar. Once you click one of these buttons you will be taken thru a process to add new video to your movie. Each new file you add will become a new scene on your movie.

How do I edit a scene?

Once you have created a scene by adding video to your movie, you will want to edit that scene. Editing a scene gives you the ability to adjust several aspects of the scene including the start and end times, the title of the scene, and the thumbnail image for that scene.') faq_ans[6] += ('To edit you scene, perform the following steps:

  1. Move your mouse over the scene you wish to edit and click the button.
    2. ') faq_ans[6] += ('
  2. Type in a name or title for this scene above the image from your movie.

  3. Move the scene start marker and scene end marker along the top timeline to the times you choose to begin and end this scene
    4. ') faq_ans[6] += ('
  4. Move the scene thumbnail marker along the lower timeline to choose a thumbnail image to represent this scene.

  5. Click the button.

  6. When you are happy with the start and end times and the scene thumbnail image, click the button.

How do I cut my video into many scenes?

Once you have added video to your movie, you will probably want to cut it into multiple scenes so you can remove unwanted footage and arrange the scenes in whatever order makes the most sense.') faq_ans[7] += ('To cut an existing scene into multiple scenes follow these steps:

  1. First, edit your initial scene so it will only show the video you want to see in the first scene of your movie. See the "How do I edit a scene" item above.

  2. Now that you have edited your first scene, move your mouse over that scene and click the icon. This will automatically create a new scene that starts where your previous scene ended, and brings up the scene edit bubble.

  3. Now simply edit this scene like any other and click the button. You will now have your second scene.

How do I copy a scene from another movie?

First you want to select a destination movie to where the scenes will be copied. If you want to copy them to a new movie, click the "+new" button next to "movies" above your list.

  1. Make sure that destination movie is active or current by clicking on its name in the movie list at the right. When active, the name of the movie will be underlined.

  2. Click on the small icon that is next to the movie from which you want to copy a scene. This will load all the scenes in that movie into a scene selection bubble.

  3. Click on the scene you wish to add to your current movie.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each scene that you want to copy to your current movie.

How do I share a movie or pic album with friends and family?

  1. Select the movie or picture album you wish to share.

  2. Click on the "+new" button in the "people" list at the bottom right. This will bring up the people edit bubble.

  3. Enter a name and valid email address, and click the "ok" button. The new person will be added to your people list.

  4. Click the icon next to the person. It will change to a check mark.

  5. Click the button on the main icon bar to start the sharing process. In this process your movie or picture album will be formatted for sharing and then uploaded to our servers.

  6. Once the sharing process is complete, emails will be sent to all new persons checked in your people list.

Note: If you have already shared the movie or picture album in the past, the sharing process will detect that no new files need to be uploaded to our servers and it will only send out emails to new people added to your list.

What happens when I order a DVD?

To order a DVD you must perform several steps:

  1. Select the movie you wish to order from the movie list at the right.

  2. Click on the buy button to start the order process. Choose the number of copies that you want.

  3. Click on the button to bring up the DVD order page, enter your payment and shipping options.

  5. At this point we will begin the DVD stashing process. This process can be time consuming depending on the size of your movie. There are 2 main steps involved:

    1. First, your movie is transformed into DVD format. The exact details of this depend on what kind of video is involved. For instance, AVI files require a different kind of process than MOV files.

    2. Then your movie is uploaded to our servers.

    3. Finally, once your files are completely uploaded to our servers, we will begin the process of burning your DVDs and shipping them to you.

In addition to adding mobile phone video files directly from your computer you can add them via e-mail.
